Summary: Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the production of high-quality assemblies that align with customer drawings, specifications, and NEC code. Our Custom Assembly & Services (CAS) department handles a variety of work orders, including assembly, pre-fabrication, kitting, wire processing, panel & complex assemblies, wire pulls, and the development of new business or services. You will be responsible for providing quality assurance and control for work performed by others, while also influencing teams to incorporate electrical standards. Your role will involve coordinating projects and processing work orders in a timely manner, adhering to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) standards, and fostering a continuous improvement mindset.

Minimum & Preferred Requirements - NO TRAVEL, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS

  • License: Journeyman or Master electrical license in good standing and able to maintain.
  • 5+ years of field experience with 2+ in commercial
  • Education: HS Diploma.
  • Safety trainings and certificates.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical assemblies in field construction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using MS Office tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Authority to stop work and conduct quality control inspections, ensuring work orders meet customer expectations and documenting signoffs.
  • Produce work orders per bill of material and given instruction. Able to interpret drawings and specifications both internally and from a variety of customers and then communicate to teammate level.
  • Coordinate projects by delegating resources (from 1-10+), setting expectations, motivating, educating, applying field knowledge, and communicating progress to supervisor, planner, and manager to meet department goals and deadlines. Able to organize and breakdown work on larger projects (1-3+ month) in an easy-to-understand fashion.
  • Coach and guide the team (presales to teammates) to ensure production of high-quality products and services comply with internal SOPs, electrical codes, and customer requirements.
  • Assist project teams to facilitate development of new business & services, including design and documentation. Build sample assemblies for larger orders for customer feedback, often without an established process or prior production history.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping in accordance with standard safety procedures and promote workplace safety within project crews.
  • Ensure equipment and tooling is in proper condition or else escalate to management. Constantly look for new solutions for new equipment/tooling to help enhance quality or increase productivity.
  • Interact and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues that impact customer service.
  • All other duties assigned.
