Position Summary:

With general direction and supervision from the Vice President Technical Operations, responsible for the administration of technical operations on a day-to-day basis.

Job Functions:

  • Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
  • Monitors the technical requirements of the company fleet, ensuring those requirements are accomplished in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and manufacturer standards.
  • Strategically leads the day-to-day administration of Technical Operations through coordination with the needs of the department and Flight Operations.
  • Collects, reviews, and performs analysis of flight interruptions impacted by Technical Operations. Presents suggestions and initiates actions for improved performance.
  • Ensures proper and efficient protocols are developed and utilized within Technical Operations to successfully coordinate daily maintenance activities.
  • Budgetary forecasting and budgetary administrative control of assigned areas within their jurisdiction.

Required Competencies:

  • High level of judgment and initiative in coordinating implementation of departmental objectives.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Education & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or an Aviation Maintenance or Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • 5 to 7 years aircraft maintenance management experience in a union environment in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
  • Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 119.67 (c), (1-3), (4), (i-ii).
  • 2-4 years' supervisory experience in a union environment in FAR Part 121 Air Carrier operations.
