HOW YOU WILL DO IT

Purpose Statement: The Director of Talent Development is responsible for supporting the design, planning and implementation of leadership development, succession planning and engagement strategies with the goal of driving organizational effectiveness on a global scale.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and lead a global talent development strategy that directly supports the enterprise People Strategyand business objectives.
  • Ensure global alignment across the function, capturing best practices and establishing what shall be standard work.
  • Partner with regional talent development teams to deploy global talent management processes locally, ensuring relevance and return on investment
  • Develop, maintain, and report metrics to measure our leadership development program, succession health, and talent development effectiveness
  • Ensure strong succession planning and employee development processes and programs that are best in class and minimize disruption at times of transition.
  • Clearly distinguish and leverage the organization's key differentiators and leverage internal and external network to anticipate future trends and external factors.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Knowledge of talent development design strategies and experience with optimizing an organization's structure for results.
  • Experience managing global projects, including data analytics and insights and change management.
  • Evidence of global business experience, including ability to work across cultures with empathy
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • High Emotional intelligence and ability to communicate and facilitate teamwork through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in cultural assessment/change, improvements in employee engagement, and change management
  • Travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 20%).
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related experience is required.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.


Other Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP and Workday
  • Understanding of content development processes
  • Experience with digital transformation - the ability to leverage technology to improve the employee experience and use data and analytics to transform the way an organization understands and makes decisions on talent
  • Understanding of organizational psychology and experience evaluating people and organizational dynamics to improve performance

Work Environment:

  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
