Maintenance Technician

Job Description
Position Title: Maintenance Technician - 1st, 2nd + 3rd Shift
Wage: Starting at $26.17 per hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd + 3rd
Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm (Mon-Fri); 3:00pm-11:00pm (Mon-Fri); 11:00pm-7:00am (Sun-Thurs)
QPS Employment Group is seeking Maintenance Technicians for a client company in Oshkosh. You would be working with an industry-leading paper products company, with products that can be found in thousands of retailers and restaurants. We have opportunities for both Trainees and candidates with higher levels of experience, with a wage based on your experience. Maintenance Technicians perform corrective, predictive, and preventive electrical, mechanical, power and control maintenance for production equipment, machinery, and facility utilities. The hourly wage starts at $26.17/hr. with potential of more depending on experience and certifications. The client also offers a shift premium, paid training, and a $1,000 sign on bonus!
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability and desire to work with people in training and problem solving.
- Efficiently perform work activities in keeping with current production, quality, safety and housekeeping standards
- Operating hand and power tools
- Ability to operate an industrial lift truck to include working from elevated heights and
- Utilize common measuring tools.
- Work independently with proper instruction.
- Communicate and document information effectively.
- Participate and utilize new training, tools, and educational opportunities.
- Participate in advanced technology maintenance classes both on and off-site.
- Report any food safety issues/concerns.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Successful completion of a maintenance assessment test conducted by Fox Valley Technical College.
- Willingness to participate and be enrolled into advanced technology maintenance classes, both on and off-site as required.
- Must be able to lift 50-75lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and at times, work overhead.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts and overtime as necessary.
- Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest.
- Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
- Works well as a member of a group.
