Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for the Director of Purchasing Compliance Administration at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for auditing and validating the company's purchasing compliance activities as it relates to government contracts. This includes conducting validation audits of the relevant purchasing systems as well as administering/tracking internal corrective action requests (CARs) to system leads when deficiencies are identified. Additionally, this position coordinates compliance assessments, subcontract file reviews, audits, and compliance training activities.

The Director of Purchasing Compliance Administration will also: 1)provide guidance to the purchasing staff to ensure everyone is complying with the FMM Purchasing System; 2) review procurement and project documents for compliance issues and recommend improvements; 3) provide training to purchasing staff on compliance issues and will lead and facilitate Procurement related audit activities; 4) analyze compliance data and report recommendations for improvement; 5) develop and monitor appropriate metrics for compliance activities 6) make recommendations on metrics that evaluate the compliance and effectiveness of the procurement process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as the company's subject matter expert for compliance in all purchasing/procurement systems.
  • Develop and revise purchasing compliance policies, procedures, and templates to mitigate risk
  • Audit and validate the purchasing business systems and issue/follow-up with CARs as needed.
  • Track customer metrics and assign systems leads to respond to any deficiencies
  • Lead training for purchasing requirements across sites to all interested employees as required
  • Advise, coach and train relevant counterparts within the organization, as needed.
  • Monitoring contract requirements to ensure company and counter party compliance with contractual obligations
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures

Directly supervises 2 to 6 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Demonstrates delegation skills and fosters a cooperative work environment. Demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee's workspace will be in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting and shipboard in an industrial environment with exposure to moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.
