Role Mission
The Human Resources Intern reports to the Human Resources Manager and provides valuable support in carrying out the day-to-day HR activities. This individual is responsible for a variety of highly sensitive and confidential human resource duties including maintaining the accuracy of employee files, organizing and screening resumes, and assisting in the implementation of company policies, as well as being able to work both independently and collaboratively while also prioritizing a diverse workload.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain employee records and database to ensure all necessary information is obtained and accurate.
  • Post, update, and remove job ads from job boards, career pages, and social media as necessary.
  • Screen potential resumes and aid in scheduling interviews with supervisors or managers.
  • Assist with new hire orientations and onboarding.
  • Participate in organizing company events.
  • Assist with other HR projects as necessary.
Competencies
  • Working towards an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with HRIS and ATS software is advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of US labor laws
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated high degree of ethics, integrity, honesty, and respect for confidential information.
