Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sr. Analyst, Rebates is responsible for independently implementing the pharmaceutical manufacturer rebate submission and reconciliation processes as well as the analysis of all pertinent rebate data. Analyzes rebate contracts to ensure Navitus clients are maximizing their rebates and works with representatives from the pharmaceutical industry to assure rebate submission standards are met. The Sr. Analyst, Rebates will reconcile rebate payments and investigate and resolve any discrepancies. Supports formulary process through data pulls, pricing calculations and economic modeling. Will be expected to understand the departments and customer's business needs and facilitate successful delivery of information for decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Able to backfill all Specialist 1, Specialist 2, and Analyst job duties.
  • Develops, validates, and tests requested solutions and enhancements to satisfy and improve business information needs.
  • Mentor rebate specialists and analysts.
  • Research, define and deploy improvement opportunities throughout the department.
  • Acts as the lead/SME in the following areas
    • Medical Invoicing
    • Point of Sale Program
    • Med D/Medicaid RFP process
    • Implementation/Formulary process
  • Manage in-house contracts with assistance from Contract Managers.
  • Responsible for yearly CMS/DIR reporting.
  • Gathers necessary client and manufacturer audit information.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Background Requirements:

  • Education: BA/BS with focus on business or equivalent combined education and experience required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of Industry experience.
    • Position requires a high level of initiative and detail-orientation.
    • Experience with QlikView preferred. Ability to use supplemental software tools (e.g., MS Access, Excel) as needed to achieve analytic results.
    • PBM experience is a plus.
    • Experience in healthcare or retail pharmacy industry is preferred.
