Job Description

Excellent opportunity available with one of our clients in the Appleton area working as a Machine Operator!

Essential Job Duties:

  • Preparing machine setup such as installing molds, cutting dies, and other tooling fittings
  • Operating machine and placing raw materials onto its turn table and adjusting speeds as required
  • Inspecting finished product to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards
  • Inspecting tooling and equipment for any mechanical defects
  • Performing simple maintenance on machine
  • Reading and following instructions such as company's daily production schedule
  • Using Bill of Materials (BOM's) on a work order in order to set up proper materials
  • Recording work order information using bar code scanners as well as hand written documents
  • Keeping work area clean and organized
  • Performing other general assembly work on other machines as needed
  • Pulling parts as well as collating product, if needed
  • Could be assisting in their warehouse - picking/packing, counting, stuffing, folding, and gluing
  • Packaging product into boxes such as gaylords or other types of packaging, and apply appropriate labels or other identification
  • Palletizing per job instructions
  • Maintaining inventory of materials and supplies by returning unused materials to their correct locations within the warehouse
  • Conducting monthly inventory counts of all inventory items as designated
  • Training, coaching, and leading a team of assembly workers to meet production needs in quality and in quantity
  • Being a liaison between the team and the manager
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent is required; or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience in a lead type position; within manufacturing setting is desired
  • Interested candidate must be highly motivated
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team
  • Must abide by all safety and security procedures
  • Ability to add and subtract up to 4 digit numbers, multiply & divide with 10's and 100's as well as the ability to use a counting scale and reading a tape measure
  • Bend, twist, rotate, lift up 25lbs regularly, up to 50lbs frequently, and up to 100lbs occasionally
  • Vision abilities required for this position include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Hours:

  • Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday's 7:30 am to 2:00 pm

Pay:

  • $13.00-$15.00 per hour
