TreeHouse Foods, based in Oak Brook, IL, is a publicly-held manufacturer of packaged foods and beverages with approximately 30 manufacturing facilities across the United States, and Canada, that focuses primarily on private label products for both retail grocery and food away from home customers. We manufacture shelf stable, refrigerated, frozen and fresh products, including beverages and beverage enhancers (single serve beverages, coffees, teas, creamers, powdered beverages and smoothies); retail bakery (refrigerated and frozen dough, cookies and crackers); condiments (pickles) and healthy snacks (nuts, trail mix, bars, dried fruits and vegetables). We offer natural, organic and preservative free ingredients in many categories. THE OPPORTUNITY

The Finance Summer Internships will be based in Green Bay, WI offices.

In addition to hands-on experience in Accounting. The TreeHouse Foods Finance Summer Internship will afford the intern:

  • Formal orientation and on-boarding
  • Individualized development, including a formal mid-term and end-of-term evaluation
  • Regular interface with Finance leadership through weekly 'Lessons from Leaders' sessions
  • Exposure to one or more of our manufacturing and/or distribution operations
  • Intern group project
  • Networking opportunities
  • End of internship presentation to the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance Leadership Team

Accounting

Located in the Green Bay, WI offices, this position will apply accounting principles to assist in the completion of the Company's month-end closing process, preparation of financial reports, analysis of financial results, and support of process improvements. As necessary, this position will provide analytical support to the divisions. This role will also be directly involved in one or more special projects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 2 - 3 years of progress towards a bachelor's degree in business with an Accounting, Finance, or closely related major.
  • Overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrated interest in accounting, finance, and operations through course work or previous internships.
  • Computer savvy, knowledge of ERP systems, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
