Job Description

In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the Account Processing team, this position is responsible for the accuracy of all new and maintained account for DDA, Savings, CD and IRA's accounts opened at the branches, online and by various business units. As the Application Owner for CDARS and ICS they are responsible for the daily processing, reconciliations and the vendor relationship.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Verification of all new accounts for proper set up and related paperwork
  • Process all title change requests.
  • Perform maintenance to the RMS system.
  • Process address change requests.
  • Process accounts opened online.
  • Perform all operational support for IRA's and Certificates of Deposits, i.e. process renewals, daily pending, verification of all transactions, collateral holds and unposted items
  • Scan, index and verify all paperwork to the Doc Viewer system
  • Monitor all Contact Notes and process accordingly
  • These include combined statement requests, address changes, closed accounts, type changes. Verify daily, monthly and quarterly reports related to various jobs
  • Obtain approvals and perform interest adjustments
  • Annual processes B and C Notices, W8 Ben recertification and Escheatment support.
  • Strong knowledge in IRA and CD guidelines
  • Act as the lead person for reporting taxes for various business units.

Additional Supervisor Responsibilities Include:

  • Signing Treasurers checks
  • Reviewing and Approving daily work of the Account Processing staff.
  • Handle escalated phone calls
  • Scheduling of staff
  • Support Branch, CIC and customers with inquiries
  • Prove General ledger accounts daily
  • Abandoned Property mailing and maintenance.
  • Work with the BA to manage software deployments, including review of release notes to identify impacts and development of test scripts to support the successful implementation of new software releases. Work with users to trouble shoot issues. Gather information about program objectives, functions, features and other requirements. Report issues.
  • Test and implement system releases and IRB's, including the integration of third party systems.
  • Establishes and Manages annual goals and objectives for each Team ensuring consistency with the overall strategic plan for Banking Operations as a whole.
  • Leads and coaches the Departments' Account Processing team and aid in their management of resources and projects.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements throughout the team, balancing efficiency, customer impact, and risk management.
  • Supports the development of new products and services requiring Deposit Operations and Account Processing support
  • Report and monitor KPI metrics to ensure adequate staffing. Report data to Senior Management.
  • Obtain, implement and communicate new and changing product related regulations.
  • Other tasks as requested

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 7-10 years of management experience, with at least 4 in an operational area.
  • Proven project management, and business process improvement skills and knowledge.
  • Experience with Banking Products including IRA products and regulations
  • Experience with coaching, and developing talent at all levels.
  • Superb analytical skills, including usage of MS tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Team and customer oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience within the financial services industry, preferably in banking.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Project Management skills
