VP Northeast Region Services, Children's Wisconsin and VP, Connected for Kids

Guided by the overall Children's Wisconsin (CW) system strategy, and in partnership with system leaders, the VP takes responsibility to align, plan, and implement strategies to support the overall vision and plan for the Northeast (NE) region. This position is accountable for the overall quality and operations of patient care in the NE region, including CW's Fox Valley hospital operations, and advancing the Connected for Kids partnership with Bellin and ThedaCare in NE Wisconsin & Upper Peninsula of MI.

The role of the VP in the Connected for Kids partnership is appointed by, and accountable to, the Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) Board, and has a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following: strategic vision, business and operations, people, culture, market positioning/growth, financial stewardship, governance, community relationships and service orientation and customer focus.

This key leader will also serves as a local leader for other regional healthcare system relationships, and is actively involved as a partner in the cultivation and development of philanthropic, volunteer, and community engagement initiatives and opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in patient care and administrative positions (preferably in a pediatric setting), together with demonstrated knowledge of current leadership, management and quality improvement concepts in order to attain a thorough understanding of hospital, and patient needs and goals and assume overall responsibility for the NE region.

  • Requires knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of patient care and advanced leadership, management and quality improvement concepts acquired through a Master's Degree in Health Administration or related degree. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Wisconsin is desired, but not required.

  • Requires an extremely high level of analytical ability in order to develop plans and creative problem solving solutions, as well as participate significantly in the development of the entire organization's short and long range goals and objectives.

  • Requires advanced interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to effectively interact in extremely delicate, sensitive and/or complex situations, plus a high degree of judgment, initiative, tact and persuasiveness to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the position.

  • Demonstrated record in building leadership teams and holding teams accountable for outcomes.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with a track record of positive financial results.

  • Powerful combination of vision, energy, and leadership with a history of building relationships at all levels and across both internal and external constituencies.

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.
