Department Overview

Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response.

Position Summary

Manages and/or administers one or more company programs. Provides oversight, governance, communication, training, reporting as well as having oversight for the overall process and project management for the assigned program(s). Manages the program budget, which may include developing and presenting the budget proposal.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.


A reasonable salary range is:

Annual Minimum: $140,000.00

Annual Maximum: $238,000.00

Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and thought leader and applies extensive unique expertise.Manages benchmarking internally and externally for analysis, continuous improvement, or other projects.
  • Identifies the developmental needs of others, and coaches and mentors' others to improve their knowledge or skills.Develops, implements, and approves guidelines and process documentation.
  • Represents the company in contacts with other utilities, various industry boards, committees, regulatory agencies, governmental bodies, and other private organizations.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements at the department level.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent

Desired:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in gas maintenance and construction
  • Experience in engineering, 5 years
  • Experience in program management
  • PMP-Project Management Professional certification
