Job Description
CMG & Associates, Inc. is a multi-disciplined mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering firm that has an opportunity for an experienced CAD/BIM technician. The well-qualified candidate will have experience in the MEP consulting engineering industry. They must equally show strength in knowledge/implementation of BIM processes as well as a technical knowledge of BIM software implementation and usage. In this position, you will work with engineers and designers to develop mechanical, plumbing, fire, and electrical system plans using AutoCAD and Revit.

- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to develop construction documents.
- Correspond with clients and team members to procure information and details for project delivery.
- Completion of drawings from schematics through construction documents under the direction of a project manager.
- Maintain adherence to office standards of design, quality control, and production.
- Review work performed to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to project manager review.
- Develop and maintain CAD and BIM standards.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and measurements for cost estimates.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection drafting.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office is required.
- Proficiency with developing plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication and client relation skills.
- Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to schedules.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Experience and Education:
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in drafting/Revit/AutoCAD; or Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year or four-year college or technical school in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 2+ years of drafting/Revit/AutoCAD experience.
- Commercial building drafting experience is required.
