Job Description

Manage the daily operations of reviewing client requests to use space operated by the Office of Reservations & Events. Clients include campus departments, student organizations, and community or regional organizations not affiliated with the University. Main buildings of responsibility include Memorial Student Union and the MU Student Center, but back up support may be provided for Bond LSC, NextGen, Reynolds Alumni Center, Museum of Art & Archaeology, and outdoor spaces.

Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, discipline, and day-to-day workflow for part-time reservations student staff. Maintain and update the reservation student staff operations and training manual for procedural changes. Complete weekly and monthly tasks such as office supply orders for Office of Reservations & Events; biweekly time reporting for part-time student staff.

Audit confirmed/upcoming events for accuracy and work with the Event Operations team to ensure our reservation system provides clear instructions for those supporting events on-site.

Perform on-site event management day of with client to maintain client relationship as needed.

Problem solves and exchanges ideas based on standardized procedures and policies within the Office and the University as related to current events. Provide information related to applicable policies and permits needed for reservations. Complete Facility Use Agreements for non-university affiliated groups.

Serves as the secondary contact for all billing related needs for event invoices.

Shift

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (some nights and weekends possible)

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using the EMS by Accruent Reservation System
  • Venue Management, to include rental estimates
  • Experience managing part-time employees
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $21.28 - $24.04 per hour

Grade: GGS 009
